Bosingak Pavilion is the site of the giant bell and Seoul landmark, Bosingak. The bell that hangs there today is known as the Seoul Daejong and was made in 1986. At midnight on New Year's Day, the bell is rung to announce the start of the new year.

    I happened to pass by this building on my way to Cheonggyecheon Stream. The signage introduced it as a bell pavilion. Unfortunately, it was not possible to enter the pavilion as it was cordon off.

    Nice to see Bosingak and in a great place for bars and restaurants back-to-back. I recommend making an afternoon or evening of visiting this location.
