See & Do
Mt.Baegaksan(Bukaksan) is a 342-meter high granite mountain in the middle of Seoul and is home to Gyeongbokgung Palace and a Joseon Dynasty fortress. Its proximity to Cheong Wa Dae, the presidential residence, saw the area closed to the public for 40 years due to security concerns. The area re-opened in 2007; the long closure period and resulting lack of foot traffic has allowed wildlife to flourish. This has made the mountain very popular since its reopening.
The recently restored historic Hanyangdoseong, Seoul City Wall on Bugaksan also draws large numbers of walkers.
