Ihwa Mural Village is a picturesque neighborhood that is famous for its colorful murals and an abundance of cool cafes and shops. It is located near Naksan Park and the neighborhood was revitalized through the 2006 "Art in the City" public art project. Dozens of artists came together to beautify the neighborhood with public artworks, drawings, and murals. Ihwa Mural Village has served as a filming location for many popular K-dramas and movies.

※ Measures to Take When Visiting Ihwa Mural Village

Although Ihwa Mural Village is very popular with tourists, the area is a residential neighborhood where people actually live. Please keep that and the following measures in mind when you visit the village. We ask that you make your trip to Ihwa a quiet trip.

- Please keep noise levels to a minimum (e.g. no loud voices, horsing around, filming, etc.)
- Please do not litter
- Please keep group visits small, with a maximum of 10 visitors
- Please do not use microphones, megaphones, or loudspeakers
- Please do not take photos or film the interiors of houses, even if the doors are open

  • Really nice
    I really liked walking around here. There is lots to see and it wasn't crowded at all, even though I was there on a Sunday afternoon. Be aware that some parts are very steep.

    Good for photo. Lots of handicraft shops. Have some cafe for drink, snack and sit for a while. Morning or early afternoon time reccommend.
