Nonhyeon Samgyetang, Korea's First 24 Hour Restaurant
A survey was conducted over many months by Joongang Ilbo (Joongang Daily) and in July 2014, Nonhyeon Samgyetang was chosen as the best samgyetang restaurant in Korea. With 20 years of experience behind them, the samgyetang specialty restaurant has finally opened a store in Myeong-dong. Nonhyeon Samgyetang only uses fresh chickens rather than frozen, which is why the meat in their soup is so tender. Fresh chickens are also used to make their chicken broth, which gives it a light, refreshing taste that you can enjoy 365 days a year. Various rice porridge dishes, including jeonbok-juk (abalone rice porridge) are also on the menu. Nonhyeon Samgyetang is also famous for being the first 24-hour restaurant in Korea.
