About
Renoir, a Leader of the Impressionist Movement
The Seoul Museum of Art (SeMA) will host a special exhibition of works by the French Impressionist, Pierre-Auguste Renoir in celebration of 130 years of Korean-French diplomatic ties and the 70th anniversary of the Korean newspaper, the Kyunghyang Shinmun. The exhibition,
Renoir : Images of Women, will run from Dec. 12, 2016 until March 26th, 2017.
Renoir thought art should portray the pleasant and beauty of life, and he enjoyed focusing his artwork on women. Fittingly, the theme of this exhibition is women. Exhibition-goers will be able to appreciate Renoir's technical skills, genius, and artistry through his depictions of women and everyday life. Don't miss this opportunity to see the work of a French master in person at the Seoul Museum of Art!
