See & Do
Hi Brand is a premium outlet mall, which opened in 2005. When it was inaugurated, it attracted a great deal of attention because of its splendid glazed exterior, constructed from whole panes of glass, and its European-style interior design. Moreover, while other outlets were situated on the outskirts of Seoul, Hi Brand is located in Yangjae-dong, and is well-connected to public transportation, giving it a distinct advantage over other outlet malls. Since early 2006, when it reorganized the stores in the mall, it has garnered even more attention than ever. With direct management by Korean teams for international brands, Hi Brand houses around 50 international luxury brand stores on the first floor, and continues to enhance the quality of merchandise on offer.
Hi Brand consists of a Fashion Hall and a Living Hall. The design concept of the Fashion Hall is different from other Korean shopping malls; the stores are built around a huge central space in the concourse area. Riding up the escalator in the center of the building, visitors can get a bird’s eye view of the main hall, which is laid out in a “ㅁ” shape. Sometimes impromptu live music performances are staged by the piano that is located in the concourse. Moreover a gallery on the third floor continually holds exhibitions, offering an opportunity to enjoy cultural activities as well as pleasant shopping experience.
