Daily Living Bookstore, Arc N Book

Arc n Book

Lately, pictures of a tunnel made of books have been coming up a lot in social media. Due to its unique nature, one would think it was located somewhere in England or Europe. However, this installation is located inside Arc N Book, a bookstore located in Euljiro and the heart of Seoul.
A café and restaurant is located inside the bookstore. However, it’s interesting to note that these spaces aren’t separated by walls but by books so that wherever you look, you’d be surrounded by books. Separated into categories like “Daily”, “Weekend”, “Style”, and “Inspiration”, visitors can casually browse through the books until they come upon a genre which suits their preference. Visitors browsing this store will not only find their hobbies, but also discover what motivates them. Potential travelers will find much success in the “Inspiration” category as traveling is the best way to find yourself. Besides books, this store also sells CDs, stationery, diffusers, and a variety of miscellaneous goods and products. Sit in a chair while listening to background jazz and classic as take a break from the city to search within yourself.

Smile Research Lab, Sikmulhak Coffee

A trending place in Garosu-gil, Sikmulhak Coffee has also taken spot in Euljiro. The staff wearing lab coats and the various fauna and flora decorating the interior make it seems as if you’ve stepped into a botanical garden. Every nook and cranny of Sikmulhak is filled with flourishing plant life.

Their most popular menu is their Salca Latte and Mont Blanc. Sweet and salty, their Salca Latte is a combination of salted caramel and latte and can be highly addicting. Made from cold brew coffee and handmade whipped cream, their Mont Blanc, named after the Swiss mountain, is a perfect mixture of coffee topped with snowy white cream.

Looking at all the greenery with sweet desserts and coffee is a great way to unwind and relax in the city.
