The Mapo Oil Depot transformed into the Oil Tank Culture Park through an urban regeneration project. The park features various multi-purpose cultural spaces for citizens, including an open Culture Yard, a lecture hall that was formerly an oil tank, a performance stage, and more.
Culture Yard – T6 Information Exchange Center – T2 Performance Hall – T4 Complex Cultural Space
Situated at the entrance of the Oil Tank Culture Park, The Culture Yard is a space that hosts interesting programs and outdoor events. If you are looking for unique events, check out the programs on the official blog before visiting.
The T6 Information Exchange Center is located near the Culture Yard. This community center located in the middle of the Oil Tank Culture Park was built from scratch by using the steel plates dismantled from Tanks 1 and 2. It is composed of various spaces such as a cafeteria, lecture halls, the operating office, and more. Visitors can take a rest and talk over a coffee in the large cafeteria or enjoy exhibitions and exchange artistic views in the Eco Lounge. Come visit the T6 Information Exchange Center to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The T2 Performance Hall consists of an outdoor stage on the upper side and a performance hall on the lower side. It is always open and is used as a multi-purpose space.
The T4 Complex Cultural Space was established using the existing tank’s interior. It has been transformed into a visual art exhibition space with video and audio facilities. This complex invites competent artists to exhibit their artworks.
