Picnic and Food delivery
When activities are involved, hunger follows suit. And food delivery is the best way to feed yourself at the resort! The food delivery culture in Seoul is vibrant and deeply integrated into daily life. Korean mobile apps like Baedal Minjok, Yogiyo, and Coupang Eats have revolutionized the process, making it quick and convenient. If you wonder how these delivery companies can find you in the park and deliver your food, here is the trick. Each Hangang River Park has designated delivery zones where you will meet your driver. The Ttukseom Hangang Park has 2 zones.
Here is a quick guide to deciding which app is best for you:
If you don’t speak Korean but have a Korean phone number and a Korean bank card, you can use Coupang Eats, which is available in English. If you Have a Korean phone number but don’t have a Korean bank account, use the Yogiyo website in English to place your order and pay in cash upon receiving it.
What if you speak no Korean and do not have a Korean phone number or a Korean card? Fear not. There are two options for English speakers. You can use the Shuttle app. Delivery is available daily from 11:00 to 23:00, but tracking is not provided. You must communicate with Shuttle customer service via phone, email, Facebook, or Kakaotalk to monitor your order. Deliveries are made only to buildings, not directly to the Ttukseom Hangang Park.
Another foreign-friendly app is the Creatrip App. A limited selection of restaurants is available for orders. After payment, you must text the receipt on Line (@creatrip) to reconfirm delivery. The service operates daily from 14:00 to 23:00 (last order at 22:00), but delivery tracking is unavailable. Additional delivery fees may apply, so have extra cash ready. Communication with customer service is required to monitor orders.
