The artist explores the screens and boundaries we encounter in today's digital age, delving into the temporal nature and reconfiguration of images through various painterly experiments. In this exhibition, dynamically explosive and attention-grabbing scenes are arranged randomly to depict the endless, one-way cycle of information. Images selected from platforms like YouTube and Instagram are visually arranged using a 'dendrogram' method, which pairs and merges similar attributes based on algorithmic data.
Through this exhibition, artist Kim Min-seong aims to highlight the paradox of displayed images and invites us to reflect on how we consume algorithm-driven images on these platforms.
