The Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra will hold the "2025 Seoul Philharmonic Riverside Concert in Collaboration with the Federation of Korean Industries." Under the baton of Jaap van Zweden, the orchestra’s third music director and a Dutch conductor, the performance will take place against the romantic backdrop of the Han River on a summer night. The concert will feature orchestral music as well as collaborations with cello, trumpet, soprano, and baritone soloists. The performance will culminate in a spectacular fireworks display illuminating the early summer night sky, accompanied by beautiful classical melodies. This event is part of the "80th Anniversary of Liberation Commemoration Project" and is sponsored by the Federation of Korean Industries, which has led efforts to promote free market economy, sound economic development, and globalization.
The riverside concert is free and open to all citizens without prior registration. Entry to the 2,000-seat venue at Hangang Park will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Audience members may also enjoy the music freely around the venue using their own mats and portable chairs. Convenient access to the concert site is available via Subway Line 5, Yeouinaru Station. For those unable to attend in person, the concert will also be livestreamed on the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra’s and Seoul City’s “Live Seoul” YouTube channels.
