Another story of records at the Seoul Metropolitan Archives
The Seoul Metropolitan Archives presents the exhibition A City’s Boarding Log, introducing the journey of Seoul’s transportation. The exhibition traces the city’s growth from the aftermath of the Korean War to the 1980s, as it built the foundations of its transportation system through archival materials. It showcases more than 120 records owned by the Seoul Metropolitan Archives, as well as donated materials from an engineer involved in the construction of the subway, vividly conveying the atmosphere of that era. In addition, a new permanent space has been created by relocating and reconstructing the exhibition contents of the Seoul Archives and Culture Center on the third floor of the Seoul Metropolitan Library, allowing visitors to explore Seoul from multiple perspectives. Follow the traces of time along the roads of Seoul and reflect on the paths we have taken and those that lie ahead.
