2026 KAS Calligraphy and Painting Collection Special Exhibition
The Kumsung Cultural Foundation started the 'Reading Art Museum' project in 2020 to develop publishing culture and arts. This project includes applying for cultural heritage designation, researching, preserving, and exhibiting the collection (ceramics, calligraphy, and paintings) gathered by the foundation's founder, the late Chairman Kim Nak-joon, since the mid-1990s. Planned as part of the Reading Art Museum project, the calligraphy and painting collection exhibition, Painters Who Loved Nature - Kim Won, Yoo Youngkuk, Lee In-sung, Lee Jung-seop, Yim Jik-soon, allows visitors to appreciate unique painterly expressions and even feel the refreshing breeze of summer while viewing works depicting nature, such as beaches and valleys. Additionally, anyone can easily and enjoyably appreciate the artworks by reading the children's commentary, which was designed based on the artwork explanatory notes by the Korean Modern and Contemporary Art Research Institute. We ask for your great interest in this small yet precious exhibition consisting of five authentic masterpieces, so that children can spread their wings of creative imagination.
