The National Museum of Korea presents the special exhibition <Our Yi Sun sin>, commemorating the four hundred eightieth anniversary of the birth of Admiral Yi Sun sin and the eightieth anniversary of Liberation. Centered on records left by Yi Sun sin himself, this exhibition sheds light on his inner thoughts and emotions beyond his role as a war hero, as well as on how he became a symbol shaped by later generations. This is the first comprehensive Yi Sun sin exhibition by the National Museum of Korea and includes twenty items (thirty four pieces) from the Yi Sun sin family, including the handwritten Nanjung Ilgi and the Yi Sun sin Long Sword, along with six National Treasures (fifteen pieces), thirty nine Treasures (forty three pieces), six Registered Cultural Heritage items (nine pieces), totaling two hundred fifty eight items (six hundred sixty nine pieces).
