Seventeen celebrates their 4th anniversary this year! Seventeen has continued to be loved by fans with their self-produced songs and choreography, living up to their name as “self-producing idols.” They successfully completed the activities for their recent digital single “HIT” and announced their comeback with a studio album that will be released in one year and ten months on September 16. Let’s follow in the footsteps of Seventeen and take off on a “Very Nice” Carat (the name of the Seventeen fanclub) tour.

Kidult Dining

In August 2018, a certain online medium revealed a pictorial of the Seventeen members under the concept, A Break for the Vocal Unit. Kidult Dining, located in Nonhyeon-dong, is a venue that features these bright images of “WOOZI, DK, Jeonghan, Joshua, and Seungkwan,” the eardrum boyfriends of Carat. The unique interior decorations with one wall filled with pop art, small toys, and chairs and tables of different designs, help the members stand out even more. The “Oven Pig’s Feet” that the members apparently enjoyed is the restaurant’s main dish. The dish is made through a process involving soaking the raw pig’s feet in dark beer and herbs for 48 hours and then baked in the oven. This makes the pig’s feet crisp on the outside and moist on the inside, and they are perfect together with the pen shell pasta. There is one thing a Carat must do when visiting, which is to take a photo on the stairs against the wall with the painting of wings. Aloha Poke Hakdong Branch

On July 20, Seventeen members Joshua and Seungkwan posted on the official Seventeen Instagram account a photo of a delicious dinner they had at an Aloha Poke (Hakdong Branch), a restaurant that specializes in Hawaiian food. The food is known as “the food of the surfers” in Hawaii as the dishes remain popular among surfers who expend a lot of physical energy. Aloha Poke reinterpreted their food with a Korean flare to create poke of green tea hijiki rice, brown rice with konjac, and quinoa salad. The Iberico Poke and Piripiri Chicken Poke tried by Joshua and Seungkwan are the representative dishes of Aloha Poke. The Maui Tofu Poke is popular among vegans who maintain a strict vegetarian diet.

Brick Campus Seoul [Closed]

Brick art refers to artwork created with toy blocks, which include Legos and Oxford blocks. Brick Campus opened on Jeju Island in 2018 as a brick art theme park and opened its second branch in Seoul in July 2019. The piece that definitely stands out is K-pop In The World. As a large-scale piece that took one year to make with 250,000 bricks and taking up approximately 20 square meters, it depicts an elaborately recreated a scene from Seventeen’s Live Concert. Seventeen is also the 2019 face of Brick Campus. The concert’s scene was made entirely of bricks, including the Seventeen members, crowd, staff members, camera locations, and even the smallest props. Brick Campus (Seoul) also features dioramas of movie scenes, mosaics, robots, characters, and over 100 one-of-a-kind brick-made artworks.

On May 26, the cocktail bar, Spinning Wolf Seongsu Branch, was introduced in Seventeen’s 4th anniversary celebration cocktail party broadcasted through V Live. The members offered recommendations of cocktails that they liked and had an enjoyable time making cocktails themselves. The cocktail that the members made and named “Carat” included the official colors of Seventeen, rose quartz and serenity, to embody their gratefulness for and adoration of their fans. The cocktail can be enjoyed at Spinning Wolf - Seongsu and is also sold as a Carat Cocktail Making Set for fans to make themselves.
