An egg-tart shop located across from Botte Flower. In the drama, Hong-ju(Suzi) and Jae-chan(Lee Jong-suk) drooled outside the window and stepped away, but you don’t have to follow their lead. Walk out from the Exit 1 of Anguk Station, turn at Poongmoon Girls’ High School and continue on the street towards Jeongdok Library, and you will find a mural under the pedestrian overpass between Duksung Girls’ High School and Duksung Girls’ MiddleSchool.Hong-ju(Suzi)andJae-chan(LeeJong-suk) stand in front of the mural side by side in the drama, with a time gap.

Cafe Pumpkin is located behind Sejong-daero, across the Jeongdong Annex Building of Chosun Ilbo, and it has a remarkably nice terrace. In 'While You Were Sleeping', this cafe is where Hong-ju(Suzi) and Lee Yu-beom(Lee Sang-yeob) argue with each other on a rainy day, but in reality, it is a cozy, peaceful place. On a sunny day, the sofas placed toward the wide-open terrace are the best seats. The recommended menu items for a spring day are the Honey Pumpkin Latte, which is made in a similar way to a Sweet Potato Latte but with pumpkin instead, and the Pumpkin Coco Smoothie with coconut cream and jelly. You can also enjoy desserts, like pumpkin pies.

Cheongsimdae of Konkuk University

 

 

Cheongsimdae is the name of the wisteria vine benches located on the north of Ilgamho, the lake inside Konkuk University. It has a great view of Ilgamho, which is the size of 8 soccer fields. This is a place where university students meet up with each other, and residents and travelers can take a rest at. It has a beautiful view, and in Waudo, the artificial island in the middle of the lake, there are live ducks and herons. Other filming locations around Ilgamho are Hongyegyo Bridge, the students’ union, and the outdoor theatre.

In the episode 10 of 'While You Were Sleeping', the scene where Jeong Jae-chan(Lee Jong-suk) and Han Woo-tak(Jung Hae-in) get together to have a meal and talk about dreams was shot at Subway Nonhyeon Branch. Subway is a sandwich store first established in 1965 in Connecticut, US, which now has 44,000 branches in over 110 countries. In South Korea, its first store opened in May 1991 at the 63 Building and now there are 300 stores in business nationwide. Subway is characterized by its customizable sandwiches.
