On Street Live will be held at 5 PM once a day during the festival period. The MC will be Jung Hyuk, a model achieving big success on SNL Korea – Season 2. Jung Hyuk, doing an excellent job as an entertainer on various entertainment shows, will go around the event site and conduct live interviews with the visitors regarding styling.

An Eco-Friendly Festival at Seoul Forest Park, the Urban Natural Ecosystem
Day after day, extreme weather events worldwide are sounding the alarm about the environment of the earth that’s becoming more polluted. Along with such global sentiment, the Seoul Metropolitan Government is making an effort for a sustainable future by devising policies to solve current environmental issues. First of all, the festival's location is Seoul Forest Park, the most representative natural ecosystem within the city of Seoul. Seoul Forest Park is an important green corridor in downtown Seoul and Seoul’s most well-known park to relax. The tables and chairs used in this festival are all made with eco-friendly materials, including marble sponges. A marble sponge is recycled material from leftover sponges, and it is an eco-friendly recycled product that can form a different dotted pattern for each table and chair. This is not only fun for the visitors to look at, but it’ll also present an opportunity to naturally think about the environment and experience sustainability while enjoying the festival.
Another event for the environment, called RE:WEAR, will also be held. According to the UN, the fashion industry has an enormous impact on the world’s carbon emissions. RE:WEAR is an event designed to create a virtuous cycle of donating unwanted clothes and reusing them to minimize the carbon emissions from clothes thrown away. You can apply to participate in advance on the official website until August 28th, and you can exchange or donate clothes on-site during the festival, beginning on September 1st.

Enjoy Jazz, Gukak, and Fashion All in One Place – Outdoor Music Concert
You can’t forget music at festivals. Music enriches festivals. The types of music that will be presented at “Next Fashion 2022” include jazz, the music of the free soul, and gukak, Korean traditional music conveying the Korean soul. In September, when the most beautiful season in Korea begins, you can enjoy the live performance of amazing jazz melodies and energetic gukak at Seoul Forest Park, Seoul’s most well-known urban park.
The live music show will be held for two days from September 2nd to 3rd at the complex culture space located at the entrance of Seoul Forest Park called “Under Stand Avenue.” On September 2nd, blues vocalist Ari:L will perform during the 1st part of the show (5 PM-6:30 PM), and the jazz band NB Child will perform during the 2nd part of the show (7 PM – 8:30 PM) to present beautiful jazz melody along with the breeze of early autumn. On September 3rd, the live music show will begin with gukak, Korean traditional music. The Gukak performance, which will be held from noon to 2 PM, will present the Korean soul and energy astonishingly under the clear, high autumn skies. On the evening of September 3rd, jazz performances will be like the day before. A project team of bassist Hansol Park and pianist Harim lee, who was chosen as one of the “2020 Jazz People Rising Stars,” will perform during the 1st part of the show (5 PM – 6:30 PM), and Korea Jazz Guardians and Song Hyuk Kyu Quartet (with Kim Yu-Jin) will perform and fill up the autumn skies during the 2nd part (7 PM-8:30 PM).
The “Understand Avenue,” where gukak and jazz performances will be held, is already known as a popular spot in Seongsu-dong that offers a wide variety of things to see and enjoy, such as exhibitions, and flea markets, VR experiences, etc. The jazz and gukak concert held on the outdoor stage at the center of the trendy, container building of “Understand Avenue” will make the festival even hotter and more exciting. Let’s take a trip to the complex cultural space “Understand Avenue,” where you can relish in the beautiful harmony comprised of jazz music that plays one’s soul, gukak overflowing with Koreans’ own energy and excitement, the dynamic city of Seoul, and the street fashion showcasing colorful originalities.
