There are many shops, restaurants, and clubs scattered around the Itaewon area. Which ones do the Hallyu stars visit during their free time? Here is a course filled with quality food, a serene walk in the nature, and exciting nightlife. Let's follow the Hallyu stars to the trendy neighborhood of Yongsan-gu.

Course 1

Parc

Hallyu star Yoo Ah-In has posted a picture at this restaurant, making his fans wonder where exactly it’s located. In fact, Parc, known to serve delicate and healthy Korean dishes, has garnered many Hallyu star patrons over the years, including Lim Seul-ong, Gong Hyo-jin, Kang Hye-jeong, and Jeong Il-woo. The main dishes include roasted deodeok (lance asiabell) and King Trumpet Mushrooms from Jeju Island, spicy grilled pollack marinated in homemade green plum sauce, and bibimbap (mixed rice bowl) made with freshwater snail from the Gapyeong region. A variety of banchan (side dishes) are made in-house daily. The appetizer menu features silken tofu salad, shredded jellyfish with mustard sauce, and a variety of japchae (stir-fried glass noodles). During dinnertime, Korean traditional liquors, such as Andong Soju can be paired with oyster pajeon (savory scallion pancakes) and gamja-jeon (savory potato pancakes), topped with cheese.

Course 2 

Namsan Sowol-gil

 

Hallyu star couple Kim Tae-hee and Rain settled down in the Itaewon area earlier this year. Namsan Sowol-gil, surrounded by ample greenery, is known to be the date spot loved by the K-star couple. The nature-filled walking path connects the HangangjinStation(Line 6) area and the upper part of Gyeongnidan-gil. Away from the bustling Itaewon streets, Namsan Sowol-gil is a great location for a gorgeous stroll and it features great scenery reflecting the beauty of each season.

 

Course 3

PP Seoul

PP Seoul is a lounge bar loved by many Hallyu stars, including G-Dragon and Song Hye-kyo. What makes this bar stand out from the rest of its kind is the beautiful rooftop, offering a magnificent view of Seoul. The interior of the lounge features spacious seating that can accommodate big groups. As for the menu, tropical cocktails made with mango and coconut paired with Thai-style tapas are not to be missed. From the space to the food and beverage choices, PP Seoul is a must-visit spot if you intend to spend a day in Itaewon like a Hallyu star.

Course 4

Cakeshop

Among the many hip clubs scattered around the Itaewon area, Cakeshop is where G-Dragon and Sulli have chosen to spend their Saturday night. Cakeshop offers creative DJ sets ranging from electronic music to hip-hop. Unique parties and shows that are organized each week go on from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. the next day! Note that the club opens only on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
