Bake House is an emblematic confectionary and bakery specialty store in Seoul that has been operating for over 40 years since its opening in 1987. Since the opening of the business, ‘open kitchen’ has been introduced to disclose manufacturing facilities and processes transparently. Thanks to the continuous development of new products and about 100 different types of bread, the store has received much customer love. Bake House is famous for its hearty bread fermented at low temperatures using naturally fermented species and lactic acid bacteria without yeast. It has earned customers’ trust by enduring high prices and insisting on good ingredients, such as using relatively safe nutrient-fortified flour without preservatives.
Park Young-seok, the founder, is an artisan in the confectionery and baking industry who has been active as a judge in many competitions.
Bakehouse, which has registered several patents and designs for products developed by itself, is contributing to giving back to society by providing technical education in prisons and vocational schools.
