「What's Wrong with Secretary Kim」 is a drama about a romance between a narcissist vice-president Youngjoon(Park Seo-joon) and his secretary Miso(Park Min-Young). Let's visit some famous places of Seoul from the drama, which is filled with romantic scenes that make the heart of audience pound.
OOOJH – National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul – Himeshiya Seogyo – Yeouido Han River Park Eland Cruise
OOOJH is where the female protagonist in the drama lives. The first floor is a cafe, and the second floor is a complex cultural space. The representative dish of the first floor cafe is a soft and bitter latte with refreshing orange, called flamed orange latte. Like its name, it is an unexpected combination, but the item is popular because of its unique taste and flavor.
The cafe is located right in front of Dasan Castle Street, which is why it is sometimes called 'Castle Gil Cafe.' Walking through the castle streets, you can enjoy the ambience of old Seoul and relax for a while. Exhibitions and performances on the 2nd floor gallery and rooftop can be checked on Instagram.

Due to his trauma of being kidnaped when young, Youngjoon repeatedly pushes Miso. One of the best scenes of the drama is when Miso bravely approaches Youngjoon and kisses him first. This scene was born at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Seoul.
Since opening in 2013, the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Seoul has become a representative cultural space showcasing a variety of exhibitions, films, performances, and educational programs. Surrounded by a courtyard, the Seoul Pavilion harmonizes with the former Defense Security Command Office and Mausoleum building and Jongchinbu. Changdeok Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village are nearby the museum to the east, while Gyeongbok Palace and Gwanghwamun Square are to the west.

Miso goes out on a blind date of her life, trying to escape her lifetime of singleness. The date was at a specialty home-style Japanese food restaurant, famous for its excellent rice. The restaurant’s secret is to use charcoal in order to lower the unique smell of rice. Their signature dish is a salmon belly bowl with thick salmon pieces on rice, and the soft texture and flavor of salmon is very popular. In addition, there are other items including pork cutlet, curry, and sushi on the menu, that were selected by Miso.

Youngjoon prepares a special retirement gift for Miso. To show Miso what she had been wanting to see, he rents out a whole cruise ship to show her fireworks. When the two enjoyed the fireworks show alone on the boat, the audience also became excited. This romantic place is actually Eland Cruise, also called the Han River Park. “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim,” “My Love from the Star,” “Welcome, First Time in Korea?” and many other Korea TV programs chose this location, making it one Seoul’s top 10 Hallyu destinations. Various cruise options are available depending on time and concept, and the most popular one is the fireworks cruise, where both a beautiful landscape and fireworks are available at the same time. Every Saturday evening at 19:30 the cruise takes off. The Bamdokkaebi Night Market (Mar 30 – Sep 28 2018) and busking performances are around the pier, so getting there early is recommended.
