  • Our guestrooms are designed simply so that their appearances can change according to the items brought by guests. Complete your showroom for a trip that is unique to yourself.
    As Modern Geumja is an old and ordinary house in Seoul, we would like you to stay here comfortably as you do in your own house.
    It takes about 10 minutes (550 meters) on foot to reach the guesthouse from Sillim Station. As it is located at the end of the commercial area, it is close to convenience facilities but away from the noises. The host is well-acquainted with the facilities in the surrounding area.

  • <The Entire House>
    - Three spaces, two bedrooms (one large and one small), and a bathroom, are connected to the kitchen located in the center. The entrance is linked to the kitchen. (Part of the space is shared with the host or other guests.)

    - The house is on the 2nd floor. There is no elevator, and there are 15 stairs.
    - The large bedroom has a window that faces towards the south and the small bedroom has a window that faces towards the west.
    - The blackout curtains that completely block out light are installed for a comfortable sleep.
    - The house was constructed with good materials, including internationally acknowledged eco-friendly paints (Benjamin Moore, Dunn-Edwards), natural wood finishes, and more.
    - Beds can be arranged to accommodate up to 7 persons, but please note that the size of the bed and the number of bedding sets are adjusted according to the number of persons on your reservation.
    e.g.) If your reservation is for 2 persons, you can choose either “two single beds” or “one double bed.”
    e.g.) If your reservation is for 3 persons, you can choose between “1 double bed + 1 single bed” or “three single beds.”
    e.g.) If your reservation is for more than 4 persons, a variety of arrangements are available. Please consult with the host.
    e.g.) If your reservation is for 1 person, but you want to use a double bed, please make a reservation for 2 persons and consult with the host.

Transportation

- Modern Geumja is located about 8-12-minutes on foot (according to the different speeds of individuals) straight from Exit 2 of Sillim Station (Line 2).

* We will inform you of the exact location of the house. Please note that the house is a bit far and we hope not to pose any inconvenience. We do not recommend making a reservation for our house for those whose priority is accessibility.


- From Sillim Station to Gangnam Station: 18 min.
- From Sillim Station to Hongik Univ. Station: 22 min.
- From Sillim Station to Myeongdong Station: 30 min.
- From Sillim Station to Dongdaemun Station: 35 min.


- You may have to climb about 10 stairs according to the way you to come to our house.
- The house is located on the 2nd floor and you will have to go up 15 stairs from the entrance.
