Hanok guesthouse

About

This unique guesthouse is a 100-year-old hanok with a 2-story Western style house. The double “ㄷ”-shaped hanok is the main guesthouse with a small garden in the center as well as four small and big rooms.

The guesthouse is located in Seochon near Gyeongbokgung Palace. Seochon is a neighborhood with many popular restaurants and workshops that offers safe and comfortable rest.

Details

- The guestrooms in the “ㄷ”-shaped hanok are centered around the garden and the “daechong” (living room). The four guestrooms are named the Jae Room, Mi Room, Nan Room, and the An Room.
- There are three bathrooms each in the “anchae” (main house) and “baggatchae” (annex).
- The “daechong” is a shared space for guests, and the 2nd-floor veranda offers a view of the ridges of Inwangsan Mountain and the Hanok Village.
- The guesthouse runs the “Jaeminangol,” which offers an experience of traditional culture with Korean food, hanbok, pansori, and gugak.
- The guesthouse offers a guided walk along the Seoul Fortress Trail and a field trip to Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, and other palaces.

Transportation: 1. Take Airport Limousine #6011 and get off at Gyeongbokgung Station
2. Take the AREX and get off at Seoul Station. Take subway Line 4 and transfer to subway Line 3 at Chungmuro Station. Get off at Gyeongbokgung Station.

1. Take bus #7022, #1711, or #7016 from the Seoul Station Bus Transfer Center and get off at Gyeongbokgung Station
2. Take subway Line 3 from the Gangnam Express Bus Terminal and get off at Gyeongbokgung Station

1. Walk 200 meters in the direction of Jahamun-ro from Exit 2 of Gyeongbokgung Station
2. Walk 100 meters into the alleyway next to Woori Bank
3. The guesthouse is located next to the Thai restaurant, Aloey Magmag.
