  • Roomin Bukchon is a hanok located in the residential area in Bukchon Hanok Village in Gahoe-dong. In the morning, its courtyard is filled with bright sunshine. When it rains, it is the perfect place to listen to the sound of rain. Roomin Bukchon opened its doors to let Koreans and non-Koreans who want to experience the peaceful mood of staying at a hanok.

    As implied by the name, the interior space of Roomin Bukchon is not spacious but rather like a room. It may be the most minimum space necessary for an accommodation. It also involves the inconveniences as a hanok as well. We invite you, however, hoping that spending a night at our small hanok will be the catalyst to change your thoughts about space.

  • / What Roomin Bukchon Prioritizes /

    • CLEANLINESS - We prioritize cleanliness. Bedding and towels are replaced with clean ones every time, and the space is thoroughly cleaned. We also sterilize the room with disinfectants every time we clean the room responding to COVID-19, and the hand sanitizer is placed in the room.

    • SPACE - We renovated the interior to give the traditional hanok a modern touch. Roomin Bukchon comprises furniture, appliances and items that we use and would use ourselves.

    • SLEEP - We provide our favorite tried-and-true Tempur original mattress. Bedding is warm and our light down comforters are 100% cotton. We carefully selected the bedding for our guests to get the best night’s sleep. As a hanok, soundproofing is relatively weak. Thus, we provide a kit containing a thermotherapy eye mask and 3M earplugs for a sound sleep to our customers.

    • AROMA - We offer multiple-use amenities: shampoo, rinse, body wash, body lotion, cleansing foam, toothpaste, and hand wash. These amenities are all products of the domestic vegan brand AROMATICA. They are organic, mild products so you will be healed by using them. We use local products by Gran Hand for the aroma diffuser fragrance. We make ourselves the fragrance of Jeju nutmeg tree of the diffusers placed in the house.

    • MUSIC & BOOK - We have a beam projector instead of a TV. Use the beam projector to play cinematic films, such as Midnight in Paris, in the background. It will help you set a romantic mood. You can also spend time listening to music with the Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth speaker and reading our collection of books. We hope you can concentrate on music, books, and a conversation with your loved ones while staying in Roomin Bukchon, rather than on TV programs.

    • FOOD & COFFEE - We are located near trendy restaurants, cafes and pubs. As it is located at the center of Jongno, you can also have your food delivered. For coffee, try some Fritz drip bag coffee that we prepared for you! Fritz is our favorite Seoul-based coffee brand.

    • SAFETY - We are equipped with a digital doorlock and a fire protection system (fire extinguisher, flashlight, fire alarm, carbon monoxide detector, etc.) for your safe stay.
