  • Welcome to Under Cloud with a unique and cozy atmosphere. We are large 50-square-meter accommodation with two separate bedrooms, a brick finished living room, a beautiful kitchen and restroom, and a cozy balcony with a hammock. The airport and tourist attractions in Seoul are all accessible from the guesthouse.

    The host has a degree in fine arts, and has remodeled and tended the house, which is characterized by Korean beauty harmonized with natural atmosphere.

    Cottage white room has a natural and comfortable atmosphere with the harmony among white wooden furniture with pastoral feelings, the linen curtain and handmade branch curtain pole, a natural jute rug, rattan dressing table.

    Lotus room is praised as beautiful by many, featuring a headboard made from a traditional Korean door frame, ramie quilt curtains, cushions made from hanbok fabric (traditional Korean cloth), a dressing table with folk painting doors, a picture scroll, and a Korean pendant.

    Under Cloud is located in Hapjeong-dong, a quiet residential area, but guests can walk to Seogyo-dong and Sangsu-dong, the mecca of youth and culture. There is a subway station (lines 2 & 6) which makes it convenient to move to wherever you want to go in Seoul, and it is also very convenient to go to the Incheon and Gimpo Airport.

    - Lotus room: Designed with the motif of a lotus flower floating on a silent lake to elegantly harmonize a chic French mood with Oriental elements; accommodates up to 2 guests with a queen sized bed.
    - Amenities for each room: Fresh bedding purchased seasonally and laundered in high temperature, air conditioning, a night lamp, a clock, a mirror, a dressing table, a hair dryer, a comb, a hanger, three drawers, tissues, a diffuser, and a separate trash bin. (Humidifier optional in winter)

    - A soft tone, brick finished living room based on the motif of a European wine cellar
    - A wide table with an antique sewing machine frame covered with a tiled top
    - A hammock in a small cozy balcony (actually usable)
    - Britz speakers in the lounge for endless music with more than 200 songs (Bluetooth available)

    - A large and convenient kitchen using the wooden top and partial lighting
    - A small refrigerator (40 L freezer; 98 L fridge), gas range, microwave, an electric kettle, a toaster, Nespresso coffee machine and espresso capsules, cooking utensils, pans, dishes, wine glasses, and mugs
    - Free food and beverage (coffee, tea, fruits, cereal, milk, and purified water)
    - Basic seasoning (salt, sugar, pepper, oil, mixed herb, and honey)
    - A washing machine, drying machine, detergent, and steam iron

    Note
    - Under Cloud is located on the semi-basement, but the whole house is bright and pleasant as it is well ventilated and sunny (please check the reviews).
    - All the interior, floor, walls, furniture, and supplies are new. The house has been renovated and redesigned by the host who studied modern art.
    - Under Cloud is a place for travelers (no parties allowed). However, if you are planning on a quiet party like a bridal shower or a small birthday party, please inform the host of the fact before making a reservation.
    - Guidebook: Guests are provided a guidebook with very easy and detailed explanations (Korean, English, traditional/simplified Chinese, Japanese, French, and German).
    - Self check-in for guests who spend less than three nights. We will let you know how to self check-in after reservation is completed.
    - Guests who spend longer than four nights are welcomed by the host and informed of the accommodation and how to use its facilities (self check-in for self-quarantine guests).
    - The host speaks Korean and English as well as German, Japanese and French.
    - From reservation to arrival, guests can converse with the host through mobile messages for inquiries (until 11 PM).

    - Pre-reservation message: Guests are informed of a few important matters in case of booking after just checking out the photos of the guesthouse.
    - Check-in message: Guests are informed of how to self check-in and how to get to the guesthouse after their reservation is completed.
    - During stay: If you have any inquiries during your stay, please refer to the guidebook. For other information, please contact the host via mobile message (any time until 11 PM).
    - Check-out message: Information for check-out is sent as a morning call one hour before the due time.
