This is Real Taekwondo! The Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team Will Show a New Taekwondo Paradigm Through Their Performances in 2016

Kukkiwon and the Gangnam-gu district have put together a taekwondo demonstration performance for tourists to Kukkiwon, the World Taekwondo Headquarters. From Feb. 23rd, 2016 onwards, see the Great Taekwondo! Taking place Thursday through Sunday, this 1 hour Taekwondo demonstration is incredible to watch. The Kukkiwon team puts on an incredible show and it is considered one of the main attractions in Seoul for tourists who are interested in taekwondo. Kukkiwon continues to use taekwondo to provide international and Korean visitors with great memories and a better understanding of the taekwondo as sport and cultural heritage. Thanks in part to the team's efforts, many people around the world and in Korea have surely become fans of taekwondo.

The Flowers of Kukkiwon, the Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team 

Ever since its founding in 1974, the team has toured around 120 different countries and has played a major role as cultural diplomats, and in globalizing the sport of taekwondo. The Kukkiwon team tours roughly 14 countries annually and they are firm taekwondo evangelists. Their activites abroad function to spread the word about taekwondo and teach people the world over about this Korean cultural sport. 90 new members are chosen every year through a very strict process, all members must be at least level 5 practioners. Kukkiwon strongly values tradition, yet does not fear or resist change. The team's performances for foreign visitors is also a valuable contribution to the tourism industry.
