As you enter the narrow, winding alleys of Insa-dong, you will find a quiet yet friendly shop. Jonggajip is a Gopchang-jeongol (Beef Tripe Hot Pot) restaurant, one of Seoul's native restaurants that have been in business for over 20 years in a narrow alley in Insa-dong. Jonggajib, which struggled through the IMF, the mad cow disease crisis, and Corona, alongside the entire nation, is making various efforts to maintain unwavering taste and honesty.
The fire show, produced by pouring soju on a hot grill to catch the unique smell of tripe enjoyed by customers and provide a fresh experience, is a fantastic scene that can only be seen in Jonggajip. Based on the philosophy that all ingredients must be fresh, fresh tripe is airlifted from Majang-dong every day. The bulgogi and vegetables used in the hot pot are purchased directly from the Cheongnyangni Market. Jonggajip's main menu items, gopchang gui (Grilled Beef Tripe) and Casserole, are well-appreciated by customers for their ample amount and differentiated tastes.
