The 2020 Special Exhibition on Donated Relics, which used relics related to schools that the Seoul Museum of History has donated to since it's founding, is hosting the One Hundred Years of Schools in Seoul: 1880-1980 exhibit. The exhibit starts from the 1880s and covers a period of up to 100 years up through the 1980s when the modern education system first began and provides the opportunity for visitors to better understand the characteristics of the period, with regard to education, alongside donated relics of the time. Having begun as a part of enlightening civilization and gaining independence, you'll be able to track how the modern education system evolved up until the present day through the exploration of displayed relics and artifacts, including used textbooks, old lunchboxes, faded photos of school outings, and much more!
