Seoul Museum of History will be showcasing a special exhibition of donated relics called “Dilkusha and Chain of Amber” from Nov. 23, 2018 to Mar. 10, 2019.

In 1919, an American journalist by the name of Albert Taylor made great effort to report the events of the March 1st Movement, Jeam-ri Massacre, and the brutalities of Japanese imperialists to the world. For the first time, records of his life in Korea such as photo albums of him and his wife living in their house “Dilkusha” and first drafts of his wife’s autobiography “Chain of Amber” will be up for public display.

Through this exhibition, visitors will be able to see how Taylor and his family lived in Seoul (Gyeongseong) from1917 to 1942.
