Located in the vibrant Garosu-gil area of Sinsa-dong, Gangnam, where diverse interests and dynamic Seoul culture converge, 2Gil29 Gallery has been actively introducing contemporary art to the public since its opening in 2015. The gallery has fostered active exchanges with prominent Korean artists such as Hong Jung-hee, Choi Sun-ho, Nam June Paik, Lim Young-kyun, and Kang Suk-young while also showcasing works by artists like Kwon Young-ho and Charlie Han to diversify the Korean art market.
The gallery’s curatorial approach is based on a wide range of creative works, fostering a more positive and progressive discourse on art. Through deeper communication and interaction with art, it transcends mere visual and auditory engagement, offering meaningful aesthetic and spiritual exchanges with artists. This, in turn, enhances the value of their creative endeavors.
In addition, 2Gil29 Gallery is committed to discovering and nurturing emerging talents such as upcycling artist Hong Ji-hee, singer-turned-painter Yoo Hyun-suk, and Kwon Jae-hyuk, a graduate of the University of the Arts London (UAL).
