Hi! My name is Sojung! I like to play with my friends and go on long walks. I spent two months at the Seoul Animal Care Center in Sangam-dong. Now I am happily in the arms of a new family! Before leaving here, I would like to introduce you to a pet-friendly walking tour in Sangam-dong where you can bring your own furry friends!
World Cup Park Fall Foliage Walking Trail
I went down to Nanji Park from Digital Media City where the Seoul Animal Care Center is located. The autumn leaves are starting to burst out around World Cup Park, which stretches around Garosu-gil. Here, I can run on a wide road that feels like it has no end! It will be even more spectacular if you come in late autumn when the leaves are falling from the trees.
World Cup Park Dog Park
After taking a walk amongst the autumn leaves, I came to World Cup Park. A lot of my dog friends can be found at the World Cup Park’s Dog Park, where we spend time running around and playing together! Because I am small, I went into the play area with the little puppies.
I had fun playing with new friends. There are fun obstacles and play areas, as well as a drinking fountain where dogs can drink water. Ah! So refreshing! Only dogs that have been registered as pets and have been neutered or spayed are allowed in here.
Saessaaack Cafe
After running around I got pretty tired, so I went to a place where I could relax and rest up! If you go up along the World Cup Stadium, you will see Saessaaack Cafe. Saessaaack Cafe, a unique salad and coffee cafe, is pet-friendly, so you can take a break in a comfortable space with your furry friend!
It’s so nice to sit next to a sunny window or on the outdoor terrace while watching the world go by. We ate snacks and drank water and had an excellent time.
Dewey Cafe
After going to Saessaaack Cafe, head down the alley to find Cafe Dewey. Your pets are welcome here, too! I was warmly greeted and shown my seat.
Dewey Cafe offers superb coffee and sweet scones. Sitting in the comfortable seats will instantly make you relax. I like to keep my camera nearby because there are plenty of opportunities to take a photo or two with your dog!
A Day with Sojung
Even though Sojung walked around the long walking tour, he did not get tired and played happily all day. He loved showing his belly and getting tummy rubs. Adorable and loving dogs and cats just like Sojung are waiting for their forever family at the Seoul Animal Care Center.
