These aquatic destinations are considered to be one of the best tourist attractions as visitors are able to meet wild sea creators, take pictures with their friends and families in front of the gigantic tanks, learn about the ocean, and much more! COEX Aquarium
The COEX Aquarium, located near Samseong Station, offers a wide variety of events and attractions, making it a destination the whole family will enjoy!
The COEX Aquarium is the largest indoor shark habitat in Korea, as it is home to over 110 sharks from 17 different species. Visitors can also get up close and personal with manatees, a herbivorous animal commonly called “'the cow of the sea.” Visitors with families should consider taking their children to Starfield Library inside COEX Mall. Lotte World Aquarium
Visitors that like taking lots of pictures should definitely check out Lotte World Aquarium. This aquarium provides fantastic photo-ops, such as escalator tunnels, large water tanks, and mirror-filled photo zones, allowing visitors to take fun photos they can upload onto their social media accounts right away.
A majestic beluga whale from the Arctic Ocean lives in the Lotte World Aquarium, however, this white whale is preparing to return to the sea once again through a rehabilitation program at the aquarium. At Aqua Planet 63, visitors can witness the fantastic mermaid show, where beautiful mermaids swim around the water tanks, held nine times a day. Additionally, in the Golden Miracle Zone, visitors can spot jellyfish that take on a golden hue once every hour.
