The Seoul Olympic Museum was established to commemorate the 1988 Olympics in Seoul and to promote the Olympic spirit. Located within Olympic Park, the museum is multipurpose space that is a combination of a park and sports scenter. Visitors can take part in activities and education programs. The museum offers various types of information relating to sports, culture, business, and the Olympics. Comprised of five major zones, each themed area is dedicated to different aspects of the Seoul Olympics: Place of Harmony, Place of Prosperity, Place of Hope, Place of Glory and Place of Peace. There is also a cafeteria on the second floor and a museum shop for souvenirs. Admission to the Seoul Olympic Museum is free.
