Dongji is a traditional holiday in Korea, celebrated on the winter solstice—the shortest day and longest night of the year. People observe this day to prepare for the New Year and to chase away evil spirits. Historically, Dongji was regarded as the starting point of a new annual cycle, considered as ‘the small lunar new year’s day’. Join the variety of Dongji programs prepared by Namsangol Hanok Village, reflect on the past year, and welcome the upcoming 2025. From 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, various experience programs will be offered, and from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, there will be red bean rice cake and calendar giveaways. These events may end early if supplies run out.
