Starting in 2022 in Osan, Gyeonggi Province, with the slogan "Enjoy a Classical Music Concert at Our Local Theater," the Weekly Classical Festival, which has been well-received by audiences, will be held at eight venues nationwide from March to July 2024. A total of 210 performers from 68 teams, selected through a public contest, will perform 92 concerts in Seoul, Gyeonggi, Cheongju, Daegu, and Jeju. In addition to traditional classical music, various genres such as jazz, Korean traditional music, new age, and Latin American music will be showcased using classical instruments. The participating venues are Gyeongbokgung Classic (Jongno, Seoul), Gallery Onue (Dongjak, Seoul), Meister Klang (Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi), MEG Art Hall (Osan, Gyeonggi), AG Art Hall (Cheongju, Chungbuk), Franz Hall (Nam-gu, Daegu), Auditorium (Aewol, Jeju), and Claude Art Hall (Seogwipo, Jeju). The seating capacity of each venue ranges from a minimum of 30 to a maximum of 100 seats. With the stage and seats close enough for the audience to feel the performers' breath and with commentary provided by the performers at every concert, this festival promises an extraordinary experience where the barrier between audience and performers naturally breaks down. Through this festival, you can experience classical music's emotion, joy, and unique energy and expand its artistic influence. Tickets can be purchased on the classical performance booking site “Finestage” (www.finestage.co.kr)
