The Seoul International Writers' Festival is a global literary festival that was founded in 2006 to create a platform for Korean and world literature interaction in Seoul. Celebrating its 13th edition this year, the Festival presents various literary events such as discussions, performances, and exhibitions with the theme 'Particles & Waves,' featuring writers worldwide.
1. Opening Ceremony/Open Lecture: Domestic and international writers will give lectures on the theme of “Particles & Waves,” along with an opening ceremony and celebration performance featuring various speakers.
2. Writer Conversations: Two domestic and one international writers will have a conversation focusing on subtopics related to social issues and their literary works.
3. Thematic Discussions: Panels of 2-3 writers, both domestic and international, will discuss subtopics related to literary themes and language.
4. Convergence Sessions: Audience participation programs and crossover events with other genres.
5. Exhibitions: Throughout the festival, media art exhibitions and a book sales zone for participating writers will be open.
