The Korea-Japan Festival Hanmadang is the largest Korea-Japan exchange event created by tens of thousands of Koreans and Japanese who come as one. It is meant as a cultural exchange, civic exchange, youth exchange, and local government exchange between Korea and Japan. This festival hopes to become the opportunity to understand the differences between Korea and Japan better, respect one another more, and grow into a symbol of friendship between both nations, like a lighthouse that always shows the way in bad weather. Furthermore, this festival hopes to lead the younger generation and move forward to the future.
