Introduced in this exhibition, Kim Jong-ku's plant landscape painting emphasizes the importance of the invisible by expressing the roots that play an essential role in the growth of plants, even though they are in the ground that we do not often see. Aristotle emphasized the invisible soul, saying that knowledge of the soul contributes significantly to understanding all truths, especially nature. Through plant landscape paintings emphasizing the value of the invisible, the artist reminds us of the importance of our inner beings in a modern society where what is seen is important. At the same time, it reveals the truth in nature and shows it to us. It makes us realize that our lives are driven by the invisible, not the visible.
