Yoo Ya Ho is the younger twin brother of Jimmy Yoo and is the head of a celebrity agency and producer of the Refund Sisters. He also has the ambition to take his boy-band, MSG Wannabe, to the top of the pop charts! Suyeonsanbang, located in the Seongbuk-gu District, comes into the picture as being the place where Yoo Ya Ho pulled off his very first, intense performance as an artist. Literally meaning the act of several people gathered together in the mountainside studying, Suyeonsanbang has been in operation since 1988. On the surface, it looks to simply be a traditional hanok structure, but it’s actually a gaeryang hanok built in 1900 that housed a complicated setup, including its own sarangchae and anchae, which can be thought of as two varities of villas. The classic tea shop serves up some delicious sweet pumpkin bingsu dessert that’s just perfect for beating the heat on a hot summer’s day!

Celebrity agency head, Yoo Ya Ho, held blind auditions to select members for his boy-band, MSG Wannabe, which were held at Eunpyeong Hanok Village. The village was actually part of the blueprint for the Eunpyeong Renovation Project and provides hanok housing for people to take up residence. The Eunpyeong area has been long historically noted for its gorgeous landscape and fertile lands, while the residents of the area are known for being particularly kind, making it an ideal place to reside. In fact, these positive traits of the area resulted in some of the most pristine natural and cultural heritage around today. Aside from the residential area, there are several other amenities in existence from museums and cafes to bakeries, art galleries, literature museums, and more! The Eunpyeong Hanok Village is perhaps one of the best places in all of Seoul to experience the essence of Korean culture.

Yoo Ya Ho is a fanatic of tradition that knows how to vibe, and he was able to bring back the hit, best-selling K-pop band, SG Wannabe, for a revival performance! Yoo Ya Ho even joined the stage as they took to such hits as Timeless and Naesarang, or My Love. It goes without saying SG Wannabe’s stage presence and performance invoked an enormous ovation from the crowd. The stage for that very performace was Bukhansan Atelier, located in the Eunpyeong-gu District. The cafe has a lustrious, open view of the hanok village surrounded by the lush, green forest. There’s even said to be a map dedicated to the cafe due to its large size and beautiful scenery. You can peruse the map casually as you go up and down the stairs, basking in the gorgeously laid out interior. Bukhansan Atelier also lives up to its name and bakes a wonderful array of different confections and breads that any bread connoisseur won’t want to miss out on!

It was on the Kimchi Expedition episode of Hangout with Yoo that aired in November of 2020 where Yoo Jae Suk appeared as himself, putting his humorous personalities aside for the moment. The episode featured him and other celebrities coming together to share in some light-hearted conversation and laughter in an old hanok while preparing some fresh kimchi to deliver to those in need. In May 2021, Yoo Ya Ho had then been preparing for the recruitment of MSG Wannabe members and joined each candidate for a bowl of jeonbok samgyetang, a version samgyetang with abalone, inside a hanok. The name of that hanok is Korea House and can be found in the neighborhood of Chungmuro in central Seoul. It is managed and operated by the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation and had been previously utilized as a guesthouse for visiting government officials from overseas up through 1978. From 1981, it became open to the public, offering up experience programs for those looking to get a taste of traditional Korean culture. This renowned hanok even served as the filming location for the Billboard magazine shoot of BTS and has since been extremely popular among visitors from all over.
