The harmony of the past and present with the palace in the middle and modern buildings on the side makes Gwanghwamun square one of the greatest places in the world. As you can tell from the name, ‘Cheongsudang,’ you can experience the traditional Korean garden. You can enjoy beverages and desserts on a small dining table on Daecheongmaru, or the wooden floor where there is a garden that looks like a little forest in front. Even the corner that leads to Cheongsudang is unique. There must be a secret garden hiding behind the Giwa gate. Great lights bright the cafe as though fireflies used to light a country house. The old-fashioned lighting makes this place even more splendid. The interior of the cafe is impressive where Korean traditional hanok is reinterpreted from a modern viewpoint. Of course, you can’t forget about the taste of desserts and beverages.

Those who love music will probably know how snazzy the LP is. Even if you don’t really know music, don’t collect vinyl records, or have never heard music from it, it’s exciting to look around the retro LP store. Now the wired earphones as well as CDs are considered old, but ironically, retro is in and considered fashionable. Why don’t you visit the LP store to experience the vibe of trendy people and to be engrossed in nostalgic thoughts.

With the rise of the digital era, Euljiro paper street had died, but revived with its hip-hop style. It became the hottest place among the young people looking for a retro vibe. Now Euljiro paper street is filled with many hip cafes that reinterpreted nostalgia from a modern viewpoint. Bunkasha is located right here. Just like its name, Bunkasha is well known for Japanese desserts. The fruits sandwich and melon soda which is hard to find in Korea.
