The Gyeongchun Line (Railroad) Forest in Gongneung-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul, once traversed by trains bound for Chuncheon, captures a unique mix of historical and modern elements. In this area, the Gongneung-dong section has evolved into a lively area reminiscent of New York's Central Park. It is connected to the adjacent Gongneung-dong Dokkaebi Market and dotted with a growing array of cafes and pubs. Consequently, this area has earned the nickname "Gongtral Park," inspired by Gongneung-dong. It's also known as "Gyeongnidan-gil" (akin to Gyeongnidan-gil in Gongneung-dong). Traditionally, old railway lines converted into parks have their tracks removed, but what sets this place apart is the preservation of its original railway tracks.
