The weight of 70 years in one place is piled up all over the store. Donghung, founded by a father of Chinese origin, has been passed down from son to grandson. Donghung was established in 1951 when the fires of the war had not gone away. The actual business registration certificate was issued in 1950, which is recorded in the data of the Seoul Metropolitan Government and is the oldest business registration in Seoul for Chinese cuisine restaurants. Donghung is a 100-year-old store made up of chefs from China and overseas Chinese without any Korean employees. It is trying to differentiate itself by maintaining local cooking methods from China and Taiwan and constantly striving to develop traditional Chinese food that suits the taste of Koreans.
Based on traditional menus of Chinese restaurants such as jajangmyeon, jjamppong (Spicy Seafood Noodle Soup,) and tangsuyuk (Sweet and Sour Pork,) signature menu items such as dim sum are provided, and various sauces are prepared directly without using ready-made products, maintaining Donghung's unique quality.
Donghung, which has been reborn as a landmark in Geumcheon because it has been operating in one location for 70 years, has been firmly established as a baeknyeon-gage with memories of children becoming fathers and grandfathers holding hands and visiting again.
