Jangsu Galbijip Bonga, established in 1968, is a restaurant that brought innovation to Korea's galbi culture. Inspired by a sweet marinade discovered during a trip to Japan, the restaurant developed a unique galbi dish that quickly became popular with customers. It started near the Savoy Hotel in Myeong-dong, grilling meat over straw in a humble style, but soon reached the top five in sales nationwide, drawing large crowds due to the recognized quality of its meat. Known for its tender, artisan-grilled galbi with a distinct charcoal aroma, the restaurant allows individual portions, making it easy for solo diners to enjoy.
