Itaewon Books, which has been around since 1973, is the oldest foreign used bookstore in Seoul. It was founded in 1967 by a U.S. military unit that collected and delivered used books to bookstores and operated a stall with leftover books. At the time, foreign books were rare, especially those in color. A few years later, in 1973, he opened his own bookstore, where he has remained for over 40 years. It mainly deals with used books in English and American languages, and its categories are as diverse as a large bookstore, including poetry, fiction, philosophy, psychology, travel, religion, dictionaries, and history.
