The e-sports craze is blowing up. The popularity of e-sports is getting larger, as demonstrated in its selection as a sport in the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games. In recent years, e-sports fans have flocked to Sangam DMC in order to watch the games including League of Legends and Battleground. Enjoy unique trips to Korea, a true e-sports powerhouse, by checking out these e-sports events.
To enjoy e-sports properly, you need to find the S-Flex Center in Sangam DMC, as the e-sports stadium Seoul eStadium is located here. The main stadium, OGN Giga Arena, built on the 14th to 16th floors of the Sflex Center, is the largest e-sports stadium in Korea and hosts popular games such as League of Legends and Overwatch throughout the year. The Survival Arena, located on the second to fourth floors, was designed to allow more than 100 players to play games simultaneously, including Battleground.

In August, the E-Sports Hall of Fame opened on the 11th floor of the S-Flex Center. It was established to commemorate the achievements of e-sports players who have actively been playing on the global stage, as well as the development and history of Korean e-sports. Particularly eye-catching places are 'Honors' to celebrate first-generation e-sports players such as Lim Yo-hwan, Hong Jin-ho, Lee Yoon-yeol, and ‘Stars’ that commemorates current popular star players such as 'Faker' Lee Sang Hyuk and Bae Sung Woong. Star players’ hand prints, uniforms, keyboards, and mice are on display. In addition, there are a variety of experience programs, including a photo zone where you can take photos with popular players, an e-sports booth where you can play games via VR, and an e-sports archive search device.

For foreign tourists who are interested in e-sports, Seoul City will run an e-sports tour program once a month by the end of this year. You can go to the E-Sport Hall of Fame and watch e-sports competitions as well. An English tour guide is also provided. Application can be made through reservation at least 2 weeks before the date of operation. If there are more than 15 applicants, there will be a raffle to select the participants.
