A Walk around the Traditional Market: The Road to Korean Agriculture and Korean MedicineLet’s take a walk around the historical and cultural sites of Korea and heal our bodies and minds. We will visit #Seonnongdan Altar , an altar dedicated to the ritual for the god of agriculture, the #Seonnongdan History & Culture Museum to learn about the ritual that the king worshiped the god of agriculture wishing for prosperous harvest, #Seoul Yangnyeongsi Market where 70% of Korean medicine trade takes place, #Seoul K-Medi Center to explore the history of Korean medicine and diagnose one’s health based on the medicinal theory during the Joseon dynasty, and #Gyeongdong Market where the past and present meet.

Experience programs are not included in the walking tour. Participation in experience programs must be done individually once the tour is over.
Seonnongdan Altar was an altar seonnongje, the ritual to disseminate the value of farming, was held. The king himself plowed a field to demonstrate the practice of farming. An enormous 600-year-old juniper tree stands next to the altar like a companion to the history of the ritual.
Seonnongdan History & Culture Museum
The Seonnongdan History & Culture Museum, located right next to Seonnongdan Altar, is a great place to explore and learn about the altar and seonnongje, the ritual for farming. The museum exhibits the relics used for the ritual and provides a chance to become closer to the history of the altar by trying traditional clothing and taking pictures with the reenactment of the ritual.
Seoul Yangnyeongsi Market /Seoul K-Medi Center
Seoul Yangnyeongsi Market is where 70% of Korean medicine trade takes place. The Seoul K-Medi Center is also located inside the market, sharing the history of Korean medicine. The center provides various activities for the visitors to learn more about Korean medicine, such as diagnosing their health and discovering healthy ingredients based on the Sasang constitutional medicine, the theory of Yi Je-ma, a doctor in the Joseon dynasty.
Gyeongdong Market
Gyeongdong Market, the biggest Korean medicine market and one of the well-known traditional markets in Seoul, sells a lot of fresh and cheap agricultural and marine products while preserving the atmosphere of the country market in the past. Gyeongdong Theater, the abandoned theater located inside the market, was recently revamped into a giant coffee chain as a part of local revitalization, attracting the younger generation as a unique spot to time travel with its special architectural features.

미세먼지 비상저감조치 발령 및 기타 기상악화(폭염, 태풍, 폭우 등)로 인해 도보관광 운영이 어려운 경우 모든 예약은 일괄 취소됩니다. (관광일 전날 기준)
Reservations must be made at least three days prior to the tour date.
Additional reservations, one or two days before the tour starts, are only allowed for the tour that is already fixed.

Reservations for the following month are available from the 15th of the current month.
Please refrain from participating in any tour programs should you be experiencing any symptoms, including fever, coughing, congestion, muscle pain, stuffy nose, and/or sore throat.
Reservations for tourists 14 years & under without an accompanying adult or guardian shall be canceled on site.
All reservations will be canceled in the event of a weather warning being issued. (e.g. heatwave, typhoon, heavy rain, fine dust, etc.) (Cancellation will be processed immediately upon implementation)

The Seoul Guided Walking Tour administration office and tour guide affiliates are not responsible for any accidents that happen to occur during the tour program.
Reservation shall be made at least 1 week before the tour day.
The course is for tourists with mobility problems (Senior, people with disability, stroller user).
You may not use the course without an assistant (or companion) ※ At least one assistant shall accompany a tourist with mobility problem ※ In case of electric assisting device users (electric wheelchair, electric scooter users), one assistant may accompany up to 4 tourists with mobility problem
Reservation may be canceled when a guide is unavailable on the desired date and course.
Seoul Guided Walking Tour Office (02-6925-0777) will contact you to confirm reservation. (At least 5 days~1 month before tour day) Reservation may be canceled when Seoul Guided Walking Tour Office cannot reach you for more than 3 times.
